How I work only 8:30–12 as a Tech VA

Hey Reader,

I work only in the mornings for my VA clients. This was the life I always envisioned when I started my VA business.

It didn’t happen overnight, of course. When I was still a general VA, I was working a lot more with no real results.

And even when I became a Tech & Ops VA, it still took me some time to allow myself to work only in the mornings, because that felt like such a strange concept to me.

Not working but reading a book on my couch at 2 pm.

But guess what, I created my life in such a way that I could do just that.

So, let me tell you what I did to make this happen.

First, I specialized so I can charge my clients more than what I would get when I was a general VA. This gives me the opportunity to work with only 5 clients each month.

Second, because I specialized, I can plan my work more easily. I’m not doing a million and one different things.

Even though I'm not doing the same exact thing for every client and they don't all use the same tools and platforms, the basics are the same.

This makes it so much faster for me to do work because even when there are differences, it's all developing similar skills.

Third, I love to plan. I use my Google Calendar for everything, and I mean everything. I also plan my personal life in there. I even have a calendar for new books by my favorite authors, so I don’t miss that.

I start every morning with my client’s support inbox and my own inbox.
After that, I plan a large project, like setting up a challenge or working on an online course, or I’ve planned 2 or 3 smaller tasks.

I make sure I plan a week in advance, so when a client asks me if I can do a certain task for them, I know if I can do it that week or if I have to plan it for the next week.

My clients have no problem with the fact that I only work in the mornings. They don’t need me to be available to them 24/7. They know I’m getting the work done, and how I plan my day is all up to me.

Sometimes, when you are in a support role, you tend to forget that you have your own business. You’re not an employee. You make the rules.

Inside the Membership, I guide you through how to identify your boundaries and best schedule that balances work and self-care. I added the bonus module ‘Master Self-Care in Business’ to support you with that. Plus, you can always bring this up in our Monthly Collaboration Call.

When you specialize, package your services, and plan your work with intention, your days shift.

• You do deep work when your energy is highest.
• You stop working past your limits.
• You build a quiet business that supports your life — not the other way around.
• You wake up knowing what your morning looks like, every day.
• You have space again. Space to breathe. Space to think. Space to be yourself.

That’s the real transformation.

Inside the 4-Figure Tech VA Membership, I’ll show you exactly how to build a business that fits inside the calm, spacious mornings you crave:

✺ Module 1: specialize, choosing from the 10 in-demand tools & platforms that make scheduling easier
✺ Module 2: create Tech & Ops packages that give you predictable workloads and rates so you only have to work with a small number of clients.

Hey Reader, Being good at tech is not enough for business owners when they want to work with you for years. When I just pivoted my VA business, I had no idea about most tech & operations. I learned everything on the job. So, it wasn’t my expertise that made them keep working with me. So what is it then? First, I start our relationship with honesty. Whenever a potential client asks me if I could do something in a discovery call, I’m honest. It will come out if you say you’ve set up an online...

Hey Reader, When I was launching the 4-figure Tech VA Membership, one of the first questions I got was what time the Monthly Collaboration Calls are. I was so glad I got that question because I have so many amazing women from all around the world on my email list and following me on my socials. Of course, she wanted to know when the calls are because she wanted to get the most out of this membership, and rightly so. Yes, you can always watch the replay because that’s something everyone in the...

Hey Reader, In the last 8 years, I’ve done a lot of discovery calls, and not every call ended up with a new collaboration. And I don’t have a problem with that at all. Not every business owner is supposed to be my client. Let me tell you why. Even though my clients have come through referrals since 2018, I always have a discovery call with a potential client. I want to feel if we are a right fit for each other. When I just started my VA business, I had the urge to say yes to everybody I had a...
