When I started my VA business in 2017, it took me 3 months to get my first client and another 3 months before I signed a client who wanted to work with me month after month.

I knew this was what I wanted to do. No way in hell I was going back to working a 9-5. So, I kept going.

What I wished I had was someone telling me that offering all these different services was not something that was going to fix the problem that I wasn’t making enough money.

I was an admin VA because that was what I did all my working life. Besides admin, I also offered a variety of different services. But these services weren’t really needed by business owners. I realized I wasn’t making enough in my VA business because…

1. I was working on projects, which meant that when a project ended, I needed to find a new client, which was exhausting
2. I was doing generalist/admin VA work, so the hourly rate was much lower.

Creating your marketing strategy is also a big part of this membership. You’re an introvert, so you have a limited amount of energy to spend on marketing your business. The goal of this membership is to get your clients through referrals, but before that happens, you need to do marketing.
